I went to a Wizards/Celtics game (in D.C.) about 5 years ago and happened to sit near the Wizard's bench.  I was close enough to witness just about every interaction Flip Saunders had with his players, personnel, refs and fans.

I came away quite impressed with this man.  He exuded a unique personal charm as he was warm, kind, and had a positive interaction with everyone he spoke with.  It didn't matter whether it was an assistant giving him an updated game chart or huddling with the players offering instruction.  Flip listened intently, offered a gentle smile and treated everyone kindly.

My guess (just from this brief interaction) was that he was the type of coach/person that just about everyone liked on a personal level.  So, my hats off to you Flip for winning so many games in the NBA, but more importantly for sharing your kindness with those around you.
