it is hard to believe he will ever be an effective NBA player going some 2.5 years without playing organized ball. It doesn't seem like we are talking about riding a bicycle here

The chances of him ever matching the expectations generated during his last season in college are now around 5%. IMO not so much because the absence from organized bball (he is a big- if he were a PG it would be a totally different story) but because we all know what usually happens to bigs with foot injuries.

Having said this, I'd like to see him having an NBA career even as a bench player.

i agree with both sentiments. he is a very talented basketball player and even though he would be on another team, i was looking forward to seeing him develop and play.

well, though the injuries are not identical, ilgauskus did eventually overcome multiple surgeries on bones in his foot and became a decent nba player.

let's hope for the best.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
