If there's no trade to be made, I'b bet that Mickey or Young wind up in the d-league. Of the two, I think Mickey is the more likely candidate since he's a rookie and there has to be a sink-or-swin moment with Young coming up.

The thing is even if either are down in the D league they will count toward the NBA roster if on an NBA contract.

It may come down to Jones if he shows something in camp verses Mickey. Mickey could end up overseas so we don't lose an asset, and we already have a surplus of bigs.

0% chance Mickey isn't part of our roster unless traded, count on it.

This, the question with Mickey is what will his contract be, not will he sign with the Cs.
Why so much confidence for an under-sized 2nd round pick who played pretty well in meaningless summer league games?

Because Bulpett, who's very reliable, is reporting that he is definitely going to be signed, so I'm inclined to believe that he's definitely going to be signed. Therefore, he must take up one of our 15 roster spots.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Mickey was our only pick,on my draft board. He has performed in SL exactly as I thought he could.
He had the same type of stats in college. Considering we have no defensive bigs, how could he not make an improvement to this group. These new additions are only stopgap for next year. They will try to include them in future trades. DA is trying to put a young core to go into 2017/18.
Like the PATS do, they will  let this group compete for spots. Let the fittest survive.

I bet it has something to do with the fact that after he lead all college players in blocks per game last year, he's averaged 3 blocks per game in summer league and is second in Vegas in rebounds per game.

Also, while Summer league isn't the NBA it's a big jump from the D-League.
