Best contract in the league right there. Him and Evan Turner.

Wow, MJ actually pulled off a good signing! Well, I guess he's been ok with signing players, its drafting them where he totally blows.

Most overrated player in the NBA, maybe in all of sports.

Absolute steal. A legit ball handling backup point guard for $2M APY who will make his team a ton of money in merchandise. Great signing.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

When he had that crazy run, maybe.  Not for a couple years now.  At a minimum he's one of the best backup PGs in the league, which is how Charlotte's going to use him.  Really strong signing.

So he's playing for free? Like, pro bono work?

I'd say Jeremy Lin is closer to a middle of the pack backup PG than a top backup PG.

He has really improved his shooting since he entered the league, is still a solid passer and steal generator.  He is one of the best back-up PG's in the league, I'm not really sure why you think otherwise.

I think of Lin as closer to a Beno Udrih type. I'd give Lin the nod over him for the three point shooting but otherwise very similar.

I think Lin is solid but unexceptional offensive player and a bad defensive player. Needs a lot of touches on offense to get himself going. Only so-so efficiency wise. Lack of foot-speed makes him vulnerable to being slowed down by top defenders / defensive teams.
