Not sure how credible of a source this is, but if true then it's great news. The Lakers seemed to be our biggest threat to get Boogie so now hopefully he'll possibly still remain ours for the taking.

Nothing to see here honestly. If Cousins is available to them, they'll try to get him for sure.

Man I always thought we had a chance at Cousins but now I dont think so. Our picks aren't worth nearly what we thought they were...

Sacramento isn't trading Cousins.  The owner and GM were pretty clear about it and have even discussed firing Karl as a consequence of his attitude.

Sounds like the Lakers never offered the #2 pick in a deal for Cousins, the rumors must have been leaked to upset Cousins and put pressure on the Kings FO to move him for Randle and change. I dont see Vlade moving Cousins, but if he decides to do so, we are in the best position to trade for him.

Don't eat the BS they're trying to feed you. The #2 for Cousins is merely the starting point.

I really don't think so. I think they are signing LMA in a few weeks , and are smart enough to keep Russell and Randle and Clarkson as they have a pretty good rebuild in place and Kobe is almost done.

I wish I knew who the guy was but he was being interviewed and sounded like a former scout. He said Cousins is a loser. He puts up big numbers but if he doesn't get the ball once he pouts and won't play defense. He won't set screens and he'll be p---y. Only cares about himself on the court even if a teammate is hot or they should be sharing the ball more. He said he knows why George Karl is hoping Cousins gets traded because he's not a team player.

I'm not quite sure what the Lakers have to offer the Kings.... Also, why would the Kings trade their best player to the Lakers. That makes zero sense, and Vlad Divac is not an idiot.

What else out side of Randle which in the NBA is a horrible PF next to WCS can they do. Picks? If they grab Cousins in a trade, then they have enough room to sign LA and Rondo, they wll be good for the next 4 or 5 season at least even with Kobe gone in 2. If Kobe is gone after next seaon or take a vet min(LOL) they have enough room to make a run at Durrant. Rondo/?'Durrant/LA/Cousins is a power team for a while.

While our players aren't as good as Russel, we could do Smart/AB/Sully, Nets 2016/18 and maybe even Dallas's. We get Cousins, Stauskas, and Take on Laundry's contact if they take on Wallace's.

That gives SAC more flexibility next summer to make some moves and kick off the rebuild faster.

Lakers out of running, they are not giving up Russell, they are building their team around him, who can blame them. No other assets.  Only realistic bidders would be NY (assuming Sacramento likes Porzingis) and Philadelphia (given their depth at center).  I can't see any other team, including us, being real players who have the chips that they would want to give up (e.g., NO won't trade David, OKC won't trade Durant).

Cousins probably was pushing for WCS because he doesn't shoot. Just does the dirty work.

That was exactly my thought long ago. It's Cousins dream to have a player like that on the roster, which is why you should never let players make these decisions.
