He is going to make a great impact early in the season as a rookie, took the extra years in college and is more NBA ready than other prospects.

I'm pretty excited about Hunter.  First off I'm hopefully he will shoot better being not the focal point of an opposing defense (I think this should help him).  He also hopefully adds some passing/playmaking (he could pass in college) to the lineup and yes, shooting.  He seems like a smart player.  I like his footwork, which seems practiced and intelligently used, reminiscent of a player like Curry.  He is the guy that will practice moves to get better, I hope, and be smart enough to adapt his game and figure out his strengths.

I hope he can be ready to go early.  I would love to see him coming off screens some instead of say Bradley, because I hope he can pass a little better and attack off the screens as well (something he did very well in college).  And then shoot threes, which Avery still needs to work on.  When we need those kind of plays run he could be a good asset.

Yes the kids a workhorse... Has a Curry/Miller mentality to stay in the gym and keep shooting ..
It seems that playing for his dad only hurt his stock.. While most father coaches are hard on their kids it seems like RJ always had a green light and would put up some bad shots..Plus the fact that he was going against zone defenses where they guarded him heavy.. Stevens will fix this ...  I can see lots of transistion looks knocking downs threes left and right.. cant wait

ya know what I mean

I am cautiously optimistic. The Celtics fan in me really wants Hunter to turn into a Klay Thompson, but I would be happy (ecstatic) with Kyle Korver too. I was a believer in Hunter well before the game-winner against Baylor, and I knew he had probably the best shooting in the draft. I was disappointed to pass on him at 16, so I think the Celtics are incredibly lucky to have found him there again at 28.

He comes from a good family, and obviously works hard. As long as he continues on that path he will find success at the NBA level, no doubt. Interestingly enough he does have the body of Steph Curry (very skinny) which scares me more than anything because of the ankle injuries that plagued Curry for years when he first entered the NBA. It's a great thing that he's working so hard on his shot but I hope he adopts the same strength training that Curry uses to strengthen his hips and core to help take the pressure off his ankles.
