I don't understand Pierce opting out in Washington.

Was he unhappy? If so, why consider returning?
Does he not think Washington is a contender? Has he soured on Wall / Beal?

I think it is to keep his options open. Might follow in KG footsteps and return to Boston.

I dunno, but I own Otto Porter Jr in the CBPL.... Here's hoping Pierce bails.  Porter looked really good in the playoffs.  10 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.2 steals, 44% shooting and 38% from deep in 33mpg off the bench... kid can start right now.  But they also drafted Kelly Oubre... so perhaps they are ready to just embrace the young core.  My guess is Pierce leaves for the Clippers unless Boston pulls a gefilte fish out of it's tuchus.

Is Pierce a lock to get at least 5.5 mil next season?  That's the MLE, right?

Would cry if that happens, and my future son is going to be a toss up between Kevin, Paul, or Demarcus.

Do you think Rondo would be the perfect fit for that team? He can get all those players, the passes they need.

I think he's jonesing to play for LA once in his career personally. At the same time, he might get another 2 year deal with player option out of it wherever he may go.

It's probably his last season, makes sense to at least try to play for a contender.

I take it that Clips are his best shot.

Washington just isn't going to beat Cleveland, so he might as well go to Western Conference

Draft night on CSNNE on the crawl they had a rumor that said C's wanted to bring him back and sign Love, R. Lopez.

I'd be stoked it that happened. ;D

I think PP got the player option just in case he wasn't going to play next year. From what I remember he was always going to opt out, even if he wants to stay as he could get more money or another player option(so he can retire after next season and still get paid for a year.) So, I don't think this sways anything. He is just as likely to come here as he was before.

I hope he does though.

Pierce could have went to the Clippers or any other team last year. I think he wanted 3 things: to be on a winning team, to be a key part and to get paid. I think he again wants those things.

We should get a Come Home Pail campaign going.
