This is what we get for not TANKING

Youre right, we get young pups with playoff experience.

Danny is prob like if only cbs took a one month leave of absence.

All this speculation is giving me a headache.
 :-\
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

A source said a potential landing spot for Boston's Marcus Smart is Indiana, which has the 11th pick.

I wouldn't like this at all. What would we get back? George Hill and #11?

I hope this is nothing but a rumor. I'm getting a headache for seeing so many Smart trades

I would be disappointed if Danny chose to trade Smart for the #11th pick, because I can't see a player there who will be better than Smart in the long run :-\
Jack of all trades, master of none.

BUT now you have to toss those playoff experienced youngsters for draft picks? You could have just TANKED for your own draft picks.

Source?

it doesn't make sense to me, Danny and the celtics scouts spent a year or two prior to Smart going pro scouting him. All those resources spent on him just to trade him for an 11th pick? Unless that 11th pick is packaged to get into the top 3, I don't see this happening

This draft seems better and deeper than last years to me, not sure why we fought to make the playoffs with a sub .500 team  ::).

But anyway this still sounds stupid to me, I can't see anyone better than Smart at 11.

This is the point in cycle when people lose their minds and forget that only a a handful or three of guys picked tonight will become legitimate NBA players and that it's a virtual lock that at least a few lottery picks will turn out to be very disappointing.

There will be lots of legitimate pros. What you are saying is correct. Every year we convince our selves that there are so many game changers and every once in a blue moon thats the case.

This would have to be a part of something bigger, like:

#11 (Payne), #16, Sully, #28, future Indiana 1st to Philly
Smart to Indiana
#3, Noel to Boston

I would be very disappointed if the C's moved Smart for nothing substantial. When I heard about the 76er deal, with us getting Noel, it was certainly interesting.

Mazz and Felger are not anyone I listen to when it comes to the Celtics or the NBA. Both are low level sports talking heads.

I did a little research and it said Indiana is interested in Smart, it didn't say the Celtics were interested in accommodating them.
I really feel this is just talk, with Indiana kicking tires.
