Some of the comments Phil Jackson just made he's looking for a guy that's interested in winning basketball games not promoting himself and his brand he also was highly critical of LeBron James for being so uncoachable.
Phil needs to speak up more often before he joins the basketball God's.

Phil Jackson is really turning into one of those "get off my lawn you hooligans" type of elderly gentlemen. Sad to see.

Seriously, the guy becomes a legend thanks to the on-court exploits of Michael "Brand Name" Jordan, and doesn't want guys interested in their brand. ???

Phil Jackson does not want a player who thinks he is more important to the Knicks than Phil Jackson.

Coach who is famous for zealously promoting his particular "brand" of basketball and his whole "Zen" thing (including a popular book), complains about players being too individualistic and brand-focused.

The Knicks' time would be better spent cleaning out their front office of egotistical members that make the franchise look more like a soap opera than a basketball operation before they seek to clean out players who display similar behavior.

Yep, the Knicks need a top to bottom cleaning out.

In the NBA, adding talent can change your fortunes quickly.  Still, I think with some franchises, it can reach a point where you need to start over completely and grow something positive organically over the course of a few years.

Knicks are in a tough position, because they need to make the most of the last 3-5 years of Carmelo's time as a top scorer, but at the same time they really need to build some infrastructure, both in the front office and on the roster.  The Lakers are in a similar spot, only Kobe has only a year or so left in his career, so they can afford to be half-in, half-out.

Phil and Dolan are fighting with SAC to be the worst franchise in the league. Knicks are clubhouse leader as of now.

I side with Jackson on this, More pleasurable watching ball movement, off ball player movement than the over use of ISO ball as an offence.

He could have at least praised last year's passing-centric Spurs victory over the Heat
when he made his recent comments...
