Steve Kyler: Lakers are also trying to move out of the 27 and Boston trying to move out of 28 too? no surprise on either ? both covet capspace

Wallace and 28 for a conditional pick that they will never get? This makes me believe they might actually sign 2 free agents this offseason.
I have a feeling that Boston may already have something on the cards for a pair of max contract free agents. My gut tellsI have a really strong that Boston has something in place already with two big names, and are just keeping things quiet while they execute the other small moves necessary to put them into a position to finalist the big deals.
I don't know why, I just have a gut feeling that something big is going to happen this year.
Danny Ainge has basically spent the past two years being a seller, doing nothing but collecting various forms of NBA currency (draft picks, trade exceptions, young prospects, etc) and I feel like now - especially after the Celtic's playoff run last season - he's got all the currently he wanted and he's ready to buy.
It's no secret that trading Wallace is the move Ainge needs to make in order to give us the cap space to sign two max contract free agents.
When it comes to adding talent pick #33 is probably more valuable to Boston than Pick #28, since any pick this late in the draft is going to be a gamble...and the #33 pick (being in the second round) would be a non-guaranteed contract.
So because of this, I would expect to see Ainge try to package Wallace + Pick #28 to a rebuilding team who doesn't expect to compete any time soon, and so is happy to take a one $10M cap hit in order to pick up an extra first round pick in this year's draft.
Danny would probably then make an attempt to package #16 and #45 with one of their young prospects (maybe Sully or Bradley) in order to move up in to the top 10 in this year's draft.
If Danny manages to make all this happen, then he basically has:
1) A top 10 1st round pick that he can use on an NBA ready guy who can produce right away
2) A #33 2nd round pick that he can use to draft a high risk, high upside guy (non-guaranteed)
3) Enough cap space to sign two max contract free agents
Very nice position for Danny to be in.
I think there's a very real chance that Bradley might be one of the guys offered here. All the media reports suggest that Danny is working hard to make Isaiah Thomas feel like he's a big part of this team's future, and the interest / excitement appears to be mutual because Thomas sounds extremely excited too. I can't see Thomas being THAT excited to know he'll be around for anther 2-3 years as the Celtics 6th man, so that leads me to suspect that Danny is planning on building around Smart and Thomas.
Maybe it's not just one guy - maybe Danny is planning on dealing a couple of established young players (Say, Sully AND Bradley) in order to jump in to the top 5? For a team like the Knicks (who need all the talent they can get) Bradley + Sully + #16 would be a pretty good return for pick #4.
I guess we'll find out.
