So I've got a thing for Justise Winslow. I think he's THE GUY in this draft. I have little interest in Cauley Stein.  Whether you agree or disagree, this question is more about that #6 pick.

Word is that Sacramento may be interested in moving down in the draft.

I'm thinking Kelly or Sully, #16 and #28 for #6.

Do you guys think that that's enough to get it done?

you might want to refer to earlier threads where this very topic was discussed at length, instead of starting a new thread on the same topic.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

More than Ty Lawson apparently....

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/06/17/report-nuggets-want-to-trade-ty-lawson-to-kings-for-no-6-pick/

I've been thinking this deal makes a lot of sense.

The article seems complimentary of the Kings for so far rejecting the proposal...my take is the opposite. Lawson's a low-cost, high-quality player and his short contract actually means that the downside is low if he doesn't work out.

And look at the history:
Noel
Lillard
Vesely
Udoh
FLynn
Gallinari
Jianlian
Roy
Webster
Childress
Kaman
Wagner
Battier
Dermarr Johnson
Szczerbiak

Those are the last 15 #6 picks - how many of them are better than Lawson?

There are a couple issues from a Kings perspective

1. They have a solid PG that fits with Cousins and Gay - is non ball dominant, can defend full court and stretch the floor (Collison).

2. The NBA is watered down with PGs, and Lawson's value is low because Denver has actively been shopping him, he has alienated the fanbase (saying he wishes he were on the Mavs), and has had off the court stuff

Put it this way, I think his value is 9-13

Excellent post.  I guess you could make a case that only Lillard is better.  Kaman was maybe more valuable at a different position although he had some years where mental situation wasn't the greatest.  Battier was a solid role player for a long time but I'd never say he was better although more valuable to a good team maybe.

I'm not sure what Lawson's contract status is though, if you are getting one or two years of Lawson v 4 of WCS then I'd go with WCS for sure.  If you were getting Lawson for 3 or 4 years and Denver's #1 next year, I'd do it in a heartbeat because I'm not crazy about WCS anyway.

Everyone is forgetting how ridiculously good and versatile our defense would be.

Smart
Avery
----
Sully/Kelly( need an upgrade here both are backups and both aren't good defensively, love their offense though)
WCS

We'd need a great SF and an upgrade at PF but that's a couple pieces away from being a championship contender for 3-4 yesrs

the proper question to ask is "who was available at #6 in previous drafts" not who was selected.

being taken 6th does not mean there weren't better players available.

but, just using your list I'd take the following over Lawson:
Marcus Smart (missing from the list)
Noel
Lillard
Roy
Gallinari
Kaman
Prime Wally and Prime Battier would probably be better picks as well.

Flynn, Yi, Vesely, Udoh were all head-scratcher picks at the time so I really wouldn't use those as solid comparisons to this draft.  No matter who's mock you refer to to figure out who'll be picked at 6, all of those players figure to have better careers than Lawson and that's without really stretching realistic expectations.

Lots of wishful thinking.

And as a previous commenter said, please keep this a bit tidy- what about putting together all these threads discussing the exact same topic?  ::)

Way more than most Bloggers would like to hear I'm afraid .

First you have to make it enticing to the other team......meaning giving up more than you normally would

Maybe AB , future first and our 16 th..........they have something we NEED and we ll have to pay to get it......  It will never seem fair dollar to dollar

I guarantee you , it will take far more assets to get to 6 th pick than most people will think.

I don´t think #16, #28 and Sully/Oly gets it done. Not enough quality value for Sacramento.

Thats why I think Lawson, Olynyk for #6, Collison and a bad Contract (Laundry/Thompson) would fair for Sacramento
