Some of the stuff in this thread seems really over the top. Here are a few facts
1) Javale is not super young with upside, he was drafted in 2008 and turns 28 halfway through next season. No I am not saying he is old, but for a guy that's biggest talent has been jumping high he would be a lot more exciting if he was 24.
2) Javale appeared in 28 games combined in the past two season. (Greg Oden appeared in 23)
3) The last time Javale was an effective NBA player (statistically) was the 2012-2013 season when he averaged a respectable 9 points per game, 2 blocks and 5 rebounds while shooting 57%.
4) The last time he was starting in the NBA was the the 2011-2012 season
5) He was cut off a rebuilding Philadelphia team that didn't have a ton of size and did not sign with any other team.
So with all this stuff in mind, why are we thinking he will even definitely be in the NBA next season? Why would a team give him more than the minimum? I really don't get the fascination.
