I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

thanks everyone, for get wells they are better than the" i told you so from my wife".She was allways nagging about crossing my legs and time on computer-- back to basketball
young last season seemed to project an aloof or nonchalant attitude of a pampered high school star and a pedigreed college player but it may have been youth or just the mindset of a shooter coupled with a very fluid pace and thin physique
my question is how do you bring along these young guys that have big gaps in their game -my  solution is home games for celtics and red claws when celts on road
he needs more court time and practice with coaching,--he literally has no right hand game-and he has to learn how to move to get open, prince was great at that-
isn't this year confusing with drafts picks ,cap space, trades, trade exceptions and free agents
it's like the buidup to christmas as a kid

thanks, just went back and reviewed youngs draft video breakdown-no right hand, defense, fighting over top, lack of moves to the hoop shooting off the dribble, inability to finish, lateral movement poor explosiveness to rim force him to pullup or barrell into players,
So because of age and injuries i'm going to think of young as a rookie  with alot of areas that need drills and specific exercises with coaches  and playing time in d league-time to go to work james

Not too concerned about Young's work ethic, yet. The kid is 19 and the NBA is a lot to take in. Bradley took a couple of years, and he even admitted that he just started watching film and doing what it takes to becoming a professional in this league. I expect Young to get a chance for the Cs to see if he's a keeper this year. I don't see his trade value being that high so, rather than give him away let's give the kid a chance.

'Pretty sure no one complained about Bradley's work ethic from day 1 in the league.  Pretty much the opposite, actually.

I'm not too worried yet about Young, either.  But I think your comparison doesn't work.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

Marcus should be more worried about improving the gaping holes in his offence game than giving Young any advice.
Get your own house in order first and foremost.

Yep--declining to lecture a teammate in the media would have been the smarter choice.

Smart is starting to emerge as a leader, I hope he definitely shows a significant improvement during the summer leagues, and training camp

Smart seems to play as hard and work as hard as anyone so I think he has his house in order.  He isnt' talking about a flawless game, he's talking working hard and improving.  Young was seriously one of the worst defenders I remember ever seeing in the NBA this last year.  It wasn't acceptable even for a young guy.  Effort was not there.  Smart sees him playing and working (or perhaps not) in practice and the facility more than we do.

I think it was just fine to do.  Hopefully it lights a fire for Young.  If it doesn't, well, I get the feeling Young won't work out.  I am a bit concerned.  I doubt Smart would say anything if he didn't feel it strongly and so far I really trust Smart's work ethic, effort, and will to win.

I personally doubt Smart would go to the media first without talking to Young and the message not getting through.
