Can I vote for, it doesn't matter who you draft, it matters who you trade for and sign as a free agent. Towns and Okafor will be lucky to turn out as good as Monroe. If WCS becomes Jordan it would be a very fortunate outcome. Rookies very seldom turn out how people think they will.
Remember when everyone was so excited about Greg Oden? All these guys are crap shoots. Not one of them can be even good NBA players without developing more and which of those guys will continue to develop is a total unknown.
If I had to pick one of the two though, I'd keep KO. Maybe WCS becomes an alley oop threat and KO can pass really well. Also, if he becomes the rim protector many think we need, then that lessens the liability KO is on defense and rebounding.
I mean, I would definitely prefer a Love/DJ pairing, too, but in my opinion WCS and KO are much more realistic and cheap right now than the former pair.
I'm not even sure about a Love DeAndre pairing. If we sign Jordan do we need WCS who might be the poor man's Jordan? WCS can move his feet better than Jordan, but Jordan is a man down low, both can't hit free throws although WCS has a chance to improve and if Jordan hasn't gotten better by now..., neither has a low post game to speak of or an outside shot so they seem totally redundant. They certainly couldn't play together.
What if we sign Love, Jimmy Butler, and draft WCS while keeping KO. Or sign Love and sign Kawhi since I read something about SA being reluctant to give him a max deal. Then we could roll out a free agent post, maybe that tall goofy foreign dude from the Rockets and then the Pelicans who for some reason I can't think of his name atm, Love at the 4, Leonard at the 3, Bradley or his replacement at the 2 (maybe Young), Smart at the 1 with WCS, IT4, KO, resign the Swede, also Crowder, and whoever else is left and Wallace for one more year off the bench.
The point I was trying to make though, is that no rookie from this year's class is going to make a difference next year, or probably any year. Picks build depth but free agency and trades bring difference makers. If we strike out on trades and free agency, keep building assets.
