Man, if all it took to get Gibson were the Clips pick, I'd be all for it. I'd love that deal.

The team is in a great position for a rebuilding team.

You've got super young guys getting playoff experience.

You've got a huge trove of draft picks.

Every prime time game our players play raises their value.  You don't think Zeller/Olynek/Crowder's trade value is soaring?

You've got Wallace finally becoming an expiring contract (and a HUGE trade chip.)

You've got those awesome Nets picks which means that we could make the playoffs again next season and get an awesome lottery pick at the same time!

It's not hard to imagine a scenario where Stevens gets a full offseason with this crew.  Danny adds one or two parts.  We're a decent 45 to 50 win team and the Nets bottom out.  DWill or Lopez gets injured and they're a 20 win team.

And that's just next season.  Those Nets picks could be paying off for years to come!

Honestly -- if we were playing Atlanta is there any doubt we'd have a REAL chance to win that series?  It's rough that we drew the elite team in the East, but it's a great learning experience.  (Both for the team and the coach.  It's all about the reps, just ask Gladwell.)

if we acquire Gibson, he would immediately be the best big we have.

I do hope C's land a more-than-decent big this offseason. I haven't perused through the names yet, but I do like the ideas of Gibson or Monroe (thought I doubt he's available given that they released J-Smoove).

I think our success this year was great but I take it with a grain of salt, Pacers will have Paul George back, NYC will have Melo and a top pick.   One has to wonder if we will even make the playoffs next year if we stand pat.

We need to get more size and athletic.   Small ball worked great when teams had their playoffs spots locked up and were not trying.   It has not looked so great in the playoffs.

We kind of snuck up on people this year too. Won't happen next year.

We have a looong way to go. I hope people have patience with out rebuild and don't freakout when we're not contending for a few more years

Let's not forget the Bucks getting Parker back, Miami getting Bosh back and adding a lottery pick, Charlotte possibly having their backcourt healthy and adding a lottery pick.

Playoffs for the C's are by no means a guarantee for next year.

Well Said, TP.

It is a process, I agree.   I hope people realize how special this team was and fun to watch from February on this year.   They really overachieved and played their hearts out.  Even if we get swept this year was a resounding success in my eyes.   The team exceeded by expectations.   A lot of guys we got good looks at and they got playing time.   I think we seperated some guys as keepers and some guys we are going to deal or let walk.

I trust Ainge as well.

If we could somehow land Gibson for the TPE and Clips pick, would KO be able to play a stretch 5 role next to him to provide spacing and shooting?
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

There are not that many good ones to choose from at center:

Marc Gasol (good situation in memphis though)

DeAndre Jordan (Same)

Nikola Vucevic (good chance)

Omer Asik (don't want him)

Robin Lopez (good pick up)

Enes Kanter (meh...)

Brandan Wright (we should of never have sent him off to phoenix... but we got Isaiah so, I can't be too critical here)

Tyson Chandler (pfft!)

Every other big name center has a player option left... namely Jefferson, Hibbert and Brook Lopez... they will definitely decide to opt in as their value have definitely taken a hit this season... except maybe Brook he's playing well but that injury history..  :P
