I'm not sure if you can call over eating and lack of dedication a food addiction. When I see people that weigh 5-600 lb. I think of addiction to food. I'm calling Sully's problem a lack of personal responsibility.

Sully is the byproduct of his genetic make up to a degree. His father is also an admitted over eater. Sully by his own admission was always aware of his weight problem. He is just now choosing to do something about it.

Many people like to over eat, myself included, but when you choose to be an athlete for a living and earn millions of dollars a year, you owe it to the organization you're working for, the players you play with, and yourself to get serious about conditioning.

Its like saying Larry Sanders has a drug addiction problem, it's not his fault he likes to smoke pot.

It seems that potential is often confused for a guaranteed future event that's slated to occur given that enough time has elapsed or the player in question is fed enough playing time.

This.

Sully has given us identical production to last season and has not shed the weight even when it is quite easy to lose 2 pounds a week with a personal trainer and a nutrionist with his salary.
He blatantly said he will not hire a nutrionist.

Here's hoping that we can trade him to move up in the draft for someone that will put in the effort to become a better player.
