Agreed, and Thomas serves two purposes, in that he's the kind of player Ainge has always liked coming off the bench, as well as being an 'overpay' enough for another player to consider Boston a place that would sign him to a solid contract.

I feel safe in writing something like that because I know I spend much less time on this site insulting people than is being alleged in this derail. The overwrought hand-wringing is entirely unnecessary (much like the Celtics 2015 playoff appearance, truth be told).
