No reason to fire Stevens. I just hope the Lakers don't get their hands on Thibs.

I was thinking the same thing, and the second worst would be them to the Cavs. Could you imagine that team with a smothering D, a la Thibs. That would be scary.

The positive about him leaving Chicago is that then maybe Crowder can be more effective at luring his Marquette buddy, Butler, here.

Don't think Thibs and Lebron would work together. Lebron almost needs to be on the same level/playing field as his coach. Brown, Spoelstra, and Blatt all gave him plenty of room to operate and make decisions in his system. I don't think Thibs is like that. Thibs is authoritarian, and I think he would clash with Lebron's style.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Yup.......that 100%.........LeQueen would be whining he needs to rest and Thibs wouldn't give a rats behind about his Diva isms.   That's why they hired a nobody as coach ,  old school coach wouldn't tolerate James antics

I just don't understand what some Celtics fans have against Stevens. For a 2nd year coach with as much turnover as he has had this year he has done an incredible job. Hes still growing and will make mistakes every now and then but he simply is going to just get better and better. Visit other blogs, you will find out how many other teams wish they had him for a head coach and would grab him in a heartbeat, I would count ourselves as pretty lucky.

Why not?  He'll play Kobe 40 minutes per game and he will get hurt again.

Sorry to say, but if that happens, I give Stevens the boot and hire Thibodeau in a heartbeat.

And this is why you're not a GM. Stevens is widely recognized as one of the best young coaches in the league who has a team of no-names competing for a playoff spot. In addition, he's owed more than $15 MILLION dollars on his contract after this season. Needless to say, if you brought that up to the ownership you'd be laughed out of the room while they'd pack your boxes for you.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.
