I broke the remaining games into 6 tiers with the first tier being the easiest games and the 6th tier being the toughest.

Tier 1   -   4 games
Lakers
Sixers
Knicks - 2
Tier 2   -   3 games
Utah
Orlando - 2
Tier 3   -   7 games
Charlotte - 2
Indiana - 2
Detroit - 2
Brooklyn
Tier 4   -   6 games
Phoenix
Milwaukee - 2
Miami - 2
New Orleans
Tier 5   -   3 games
Toronto - 2
Clips
Tier 6   -   7 games
Golden state
Cleveland - 3
Memphis
San Antonio
Oklahoma city

Total wins predicted

3-4 from tier 1
2 from tier 2
3-4 from tier 3
2-3 from tier 4
0-1 from tier 5
0-1 from tier 6

10-15 total wins which is 30-35 wins.

Great list btw
I wasn't really bothered to look at our entire schedule and only looked at our next few games
Thnx for the list

Thanks for putting that list together, TP.

Hollinger's prediction is 34-48 for what that's worth, in a 4-way tie (ugh) for the 8th-11th slots. I suspect we will be spending a lot of time talking about tiebreakers by the end of the season.

Between our injured bigs, the desire to play the kids and integrating IT, I think we'll have a tough time winning more than 12-13 games.

We also close with a tough schedule against a lot of teams who will be competing hard for playoff positions - for example none of those games against NYK, LAL, PHL, UTA and ORL are in our last 10 of the season - so we won't end up with any of those abominations where we are playing the 76ers in the second to last game of the season, and they suit up 12 guys who look like the cast of Time Bandits.
thx man. Hopefully the playoff teams still have something to play for at the end of the season. I do I agree that getting 12-13 wins will be difficult but it seems possible. Hopefully Hollinger is wrong.

Spent most of this season not caring, but it's clear that the best move right now is to tank.  We're 2 games out of the playoffs, but we also only have 2 more wins than the team with the 5th worst record in basketball.    If you had to choose a direction, would you rather us get a top 5 pick or make the playoffs (with a losing record), get owned, and end up picking 16th?

Playoff reform can't come soon enough.

That's absolutely not clear at all, does not at all clearly increase the odds this team is better next year (or following years), and may very well continue to breed a losing attitude and make this team worse.

There is nothing wrong being a sub-500 team and getting the 8 seed.  Ask the Atlanta Hawks.
