Marcus is the Celtics' leader now, isn't he?

I would love him to be.

A leader in Marcus with that kind of work ethic and competitiveness could be contagious, and would only do nothing but great for the squad moving forward.

Right now I think it's still pretty early, but yeah, if he's going to be the leader of this group, I'd be very excited moving forward.

i dont think a rookie can come out and be a leader even if they are the best player on the team

usually the leader is a veteran

but the C's dont really have a leader, i suppose thats why no one has been named captain on this team yet

we r not sure who is going to stay past the trade deadline or even who will be signed for next year

i would like to see at least some respectful experienced veteran on our team to mentor our young players but does not interfere with our young players playing time and growth

A leader on the team would have to be a player that has worked hard enough and has enough determination that he achieves more than you would think he could and raises the play of others around them and also commands the full respect of the other team.

I think we might be seeing it from Tay Prince.

We aren't seeing it from the rookies or Zeller or KO.

If Smart works very hard this summer then he has a chance next year.

He certainly stayed mentally tough to finish that game the way he did. I think he showed some great determination there.

OT...T wolves beat Warriors
Celtics beat Hawks....we live in an upside down world.

To the Smart.

He plays with courage.
He is always very, very close to "overplaying" on defense, but, keeps within himself.
Coach has hounded him into "taking lots of 3's." Not only has he listened? He's hitting some too.

When the group is flowing well on the court he is a "good" point guard. When things are off? He is at best tentative.

Conclusion, rookie is learning the ropes. Clearly the "leader in waiting" but, he hasn't slayed anywhere near enough dragons....have to admit, he has slain a couple and the boys he plays with know it.
