He's a good, not great player.

He's a good teammate.

He's not afraid of the big moment.

He's realistic...he know where he fits in.

I hope Danny keeps him.

I don't like him as our PG. Otherwise he is OK with an occasional very good performances.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
pointless acquisition to me, there was just no need to get this chump on the Celtics.

he is the Quintessential Meaning of 'mediocre' or ' bust ' .
Doesn't make us better on the court but causes an extra two to three wins in random games.

I'm honesty really hoping Danny can get rid of him for a late first rounder or young potential.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

He can kill ya as both a hero and zero.
He is such a situational player .  Was for Philly too
His height , leaping and length gives some guards fits .   He is too tall for a lot of players to guard .He use to worry the crap out of old Pierce .

Evan is so tall with tall dribble , he gets stripped by short quick guards a lot .

Smart has no game in the paint yet.   That is why he was taken out. ...no floater shot .

Evan can get a close in shot , I hate him for threes .......we didn't need a bomb or three last night.

Evan was used perfectly .   AB gets blocked trying to go inside often .   ...Evan was the perfect call.!

Evan can put up a soft shot .. One that will roll off the rim.....this allows Sully a chance to rebound and put back .......Stevens made the correct call against Hawks.   We were dominate on offensive glass,   If Evan misses , good chance we rebound and put ball back in.

Stevens made t he prefect rotation last night to finish the game .....that took advantage of Evan height and our inside offensive rebounding advantage.

would make a good back up SF for a contender.  doesn't do anything particularly well except getting open for mid-range shots but can be competent at a number of aspects of the game.  primary ball-handler is not one of them

Except he's shown that he doesn't do that.

He's the type of player who can do those sort of things but largely only when he's given a larger minute role than a player of his caliber should have on a good team. He doesn't do well in short stints or without the ball.
