Cleveland and about 70 % of this blog messed that one up.  It is a good team
on paper (3 big stars) and might have worked out, but their chemistry is worse
than anyone could foresee.

I'm pretty sure that there were people predicting that Kyrie Irving was a bad fit next to Love and James.  I don't buy the argument that you can't build around star point guards, but I tend to be skeptical about the idea of building around stars who are shoot-first PGs.

I don't think that Cleveland's problem has been how James and Kyrie fit together.  Those two actually seem to have some chemistry.  The rest of the team looks tentative on offense, and non-existent on defense, especially since the Varejao injury.

I don't think anything precludes a team with a "shoot first" PG from winning.  Tony Parker is largely a scoring PG.  Russell Westbrook had his team in the Finals.  It can work with the right personnel.  I do think, though, that the Cavs will be better as Lebron moves into primarily playing PG on offense, with Kyrie playing more off the ball.
