There have been 3 selections by Ainge in which I was irritated the day of the draft

JR Giddens instead of DeAndre Jordan
Fab Melo instead of Perry Jones
Kelly Olynyk instead of Giannis Antetokounmpo

Other drafts I would have gone a different route, but I wasn't irritated (like I would have taken Randle instead of Smart, but I wasn't irritated by the pick)

How about KO instead of the Greek Freak???  All through the draft process that year you heard how Ainge was tied to the Greek Freak and they trade up to get KO??

Quiz: what is the Greek Freak's real name?

Yes - I have no idea what his real name is....please enlighten me...

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I don't envy you guys that freak out every time a draft pick that we didn't take does well.  Must be tiring.  That's a lot of potential freak outs every year on a super inexact science.

Seems like Nurkic outplayed Cousins last night.  Let the misery continue.

Silver lining: Nuggets should finish with better record than Celtics, so our next pick will have more value!!

Cousins had 32 pts, 16 rebounds and 9 assist last night, not sure 16 /8  is out playing him...

haha...no worries man, I saw Cousin's line come across the bottom line this morning while getting ready for work.  It stuck in my head that he had a huge game...

I think Ainge is a very good drafter, relative to his peers.  But the one pick that haunts me is Gabe **** Pruitt over Marc Gasol.  There was speculation that the younger Gasol dropped as he would only play in Memphis (he went to high school there as big brother Pau played for the Grizzlies and had grown comfortable with the surroundings as a foreigner from Spain).

The Lakers snatched him up in the 2nd round, traded him for Pau and that led to two titles.  It would have been really interesting if Ainge had grabbed Marc Gasol.  Maybe the Lakers still acquire Pau, but they may have had to give up Bynum (who was impactful at that time) to pull it off.
