these guys know exactly why they lost their last game and the game before that but yet they still have no idea what the term "sense of urgency" means.  every first quarter they play like they're 30 points ahead and on a ten game win streak. when in fact their shooting sucks and their defense is worse.  most of their games are over with before they get going!!!

I don't understand why many NBA players in general don't play every possession. If you defend your man on every possession, help when needed, take smart shots (and have talent, of course) you shouldn't find yourself in a whole come the fourth quarter. The joke in my family is that the Celtics have a way of entering many fourth quarters up by 10, if not more points, only to dwindle the lead away in no time at all. You're right, they don't play with urgency for 48 minutes.
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

We aren't very athletic.

It has nothing to do with our sense of urgency.

Because it's hard to do that.

Same reason why Bradley doesn't play his intense ball pressure defense on every possession anymore now that he got a reputation and got paid, basically because they care about their careers. Playing every possession for 82 games plus playoffs a year would totally shorten the length of most guys careers.

that and CBS told him to stop doing it all the time.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

The problem is we dont have a guy that can carry this team through tough stretches. Our starting unit is the 1st ones from the bench for most other teams.

The dummy thing cbs is doing is giving too much respect to the vets. He told wallace where he stands with playing time and with the team. Now he needs to do it with Green , bass and Ab.

Starting unit sb imo

Wright - oustanding length, prevents easy layups
Sullinger
Crowder - strong defender, can score some pts
Young - deadly 3 pt shooter
Smart- strong defender, can score some pts

So this starting unit is strong on defense, altering shots, and you have scoring and spacing with sully and young on the floor

Bench

Zeller
KO/bass
Green
Ab/thornton
Turner/pressey

Set the tone early on defense and have  the same group end the games. Thats how a starting unit functions for most teams. I mean crowder, smart especially have been trying to help this team comeback from behind in the 4th. Stop the bleeding from the beginning.

Maybe this way also Green will play with more urgency.
