Also some nice baskets by Wright.  But the guy that stood out was Crowder.  He is like a 6'6 Marcus Smart on the defensive end and can guard 3 positions.  Good to see some of his shots falling. Has a good looking jump shot and hopefully CBS and staff can help him become a reliable jump shooter.   Pure hustle and effort on both ends

Does Crowder have big hands like Kawhi Leonard or Rondo? That rebound off the Kelly front rim and the hard pass from KO that he had to gather to score seemed like high level plays that you usually only see out of freaks with giant mitts.

I really like crowder. unfortunately the type of player he is, is better suited for a contender or well established team.

He's only 24, in his 3rd year, and on short money for next year. I think he's actually a really good for for this team.

I hope he stays. I could see DA keeping him since he's young with good experience and should be on the cheap. Perfect for a team on the build.

i see your point. but crowder is young and could play an important role in a growing, young team like the celtics as well. i think his hustle is a good model for other celtics to follow. he has limited physical skills and not much of a shot right now, but he hustles and i love to see that.

good pick up by ainge.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

"Jae Crowder: 6'4.75 socks, 6'6.5 shoes, 6'9.25 wingspan, 8'3 standing reach, 9.5 hand length, 10.5 hand width

Congratulations to Jaw Crowder, who grew almost 2 inches in 3 weeks since being measured at 6'3 (socks) in NJ. An 8'3 standing reach tells you he won't be protecting the rim as a 4. But his hands are literally like baseball mits- biggest of any small forward. Definitely helps Kawhi Leonard, who measured biggest hands at last year's combine."

compared to Kwahi (9.75 long and 11.25 Width)

Crowder is cool. I think this board would be happy with him as a Celtic if not for the Rondo trade.

A quote from Carlisle from Mav's summer camp:
“[Crowder’s] been the best defensive player in camp so far,” coach Rick Carlisle said. “He and Tyson are the two best, and those guys need to continue to set a tone because that’s going to be the key to how far we can go with this team."

He is cut from the same mold as Smart.
"We do so many defensive drills in practice, I come home and I'm putting the press on my woman, denying her the ball.
Y'all are laughing, but it's sad. I go home and deny the wing."
