I have Direct TV as my network provider.  Noticed while viewing the last two games the DVR function has been disabled and then enabled awhile after the game ends.

I'm wondering if this function has been disabled for Comcast subscribers as well?  Tried googling for more information, but didn't find anything.

Does anyone know if this is an NBA edict or a new Comcast Sports Network policy?

I have Directv as well but have not had that problem.   I'm in Mass so if there were any blackout issues I would think this would be the place it would happen.

how have you set the recording-->by specific game, by the Sport/Team feature or the Smart Search feature?  I had it through Smart Search which would occasionally miss the game last season but using the Sport/Team feature I haven't had an issue.

They have so many rules it can make you crazy.  EXAMPLE......I live in California and I subscribe to DirecTV. I also have NBA League Pass. I get all Celtics games on League Pass except games that are broadcast on ESPN, NBA-TV, TNT or my local ABC affiliate. for some reason half of these games I get on Comcost Network on channel 630 on DirecTV.  wait it gets crazier.....even though I live in L.A. and have League Pass I can only watch Laker games on Time Warner Cable Sportsnet  (TWCS) and the Clippers on Prime Ticket (PT).

With all this said, I recorded the Celtics/Mavs game last night on my DirecTV DVR and it is still there.  I leave the game on so I can watch certain plays if I want
I hope some of this was helpful.

Recorded every game this year preseason and regular season fine with Xfinity (Comcast).  I live in Massachusetts.

They are now streaming the games online with NBC Sports Live Extra and with
their app for Xfinity and Time Warner Cable customers.

http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra/faqs.html

They need to provide these to all Celtics fans not just New England cable customers. I am sure people would pay to be able to watch Celtics games from anywhere in the World without subscribing to every NBA game via League Pass.

I have verizon fios and about halfway through last year i started having problems dvr'ing the games. I worked alot of nights and would come home eager to watch just to find a recording of a black screen. One night i was home for the game and switched to csnne and again nothing but a black screen, every other channel was fine. Finally i unplugged and plugged back in the cable box and it had to do initial downloads and what not but after that csnne was fine. Really weird and did it only ever so often. Actually did it to me for game 1 this year. I switched to csnne to watch pregame and it was black, did my normal fix and it worked fine after. Only channel i have had a problem with too.
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

Thanks...I've been having some other issues with the DVR unit in recent weeks.  Maybe the two issues are related.  Going to reset my DVR to find out if that fixes the problem.  If not, I'll call DirecTV.  Hopefully, there is an DVR fix to this issue and not a broadcasting problem.

I have cable and have tried to record games but when I record them, the video doesn't play back normally, it plays in fast-forward and the picture macro-blocks. It has happened every time I have tried it. I record it during it's second airing, that may be the problem but I don't know, I haven't tried to record it during original airing because I don't want to have scheduling conflicts. I will try it tomorrow during live airing but if it happens again, gotta be some new restriction because it wasn't this way all the previous seasons I ordered it.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I called customer support and they helped me reset the box.  They told me to unplug the unit and then the antennae wire.  Then wait 30 seconds, replace and start again.  It took a while for the programming to reset, but the unit is working okay now.  I can now record the Celtics games again.  You might want to try resetting, if you haven't done so.  Customer service is generally pretty good at narrowing down these problems.

You could watch games you missed here (includes preseason games, too):
http://livetv.sx/en/video/20141102/

Might not be the CSNNE broadcast but at least you get to watch.

Those streaming links are horrible.  besides them freezing all the time, they bug you with a  ton of malware.
