Step one:

Win some games.
Sir, lower your expectations.

Drink heavily.

Best answer.

Could have been better. Could have been "Drink Heavily" with a pic of Vin Baker.

This would have been cool too.
But Animal House is such a great college movie- and if you think about it, we really are a college team this year. I can imagine Stevens rallying our guys after defeat nr 65 by shouting "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!"
Go Deltas!

I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but there's just too many unforeseeable variables and unknowns ( like what Marc Gasol is thinking) for me to bother presenting any plan for bringing us back into contention.

That said, my best guess is that they won't "blow it up" i.e they won't trade Rondo,Green, or Bass this season.

Exactly.  For example, let's say if we traded Rondo.  What we get in return would influence what we do later on (who we would draft, what our positions of need are, etc).

That being said, I'd like to see us trade Rondo, Green, and/or Bass if we ever get a decent offer.  Love to see us get into the top 6 or so in this draft.

Lose all the games!!

Is that better?

Be patient and stay positive.  Bass is going to fetch
a late first rounder from a contender.  He's too valuable
off the bench.  Another player contenders would love to have
is Bradley.  He's a difference maker in short spurts off the bench
for a team like San Antonio or Houston or others.  He won't
get a ton of minutes on a contender but he'll come in
a wreak havoc if he doesn't have to conserve energy.  He can
also heat up and score.  I suppose Thornton rather than Bradley
could be dealt.  One of those two I'm guessing will be gone
by the trade deadline, along with Bass.  Bradley would fetch more
than Thornton...

I know Ainge likes Bradley a lot and so do I, but I think Smart
can play well next to Rondo as a starter and Thornton and later Young can be
backup SG's.  Rondo can help Smart a lot imo.  I think playing with Rondo
will enable Smart to get to the rim with frequency.  Rondo's passing is that good
and Smart has the I.Q. to develop great chemistry with Rondo.

So we already have a  great number of picks but I think by the end of this year
the Celtics will have used their current depth to add even more, unless
they can do a three for one like Bass, Bradley and Vitor for
a Kanter-level player and filler.

Agree with people who say the options are staggering.  And
that's another reason I'm optimistic.
