I don't about anybody else, but I like the way he commentates. Most of the announcers are the same old. He kinda mixes in coaching with commentary, and he doesn't just talk about superstars ...... im getting tired of hearing Reggie Miller open his mouth and say things like "Ohhh no , dont get in front of Lebron, no stopping" crap.

Scalabrine might not have the savviness on the mic, but he talks good basketball.

I agree.  I like Scal too.  Some of his stuff sounds like a real coach that knows what he's talking about.  He tends to sometimes talk too much but that's ok.  I'm willing to give him a break because he's new and learning the job.  I love his enthusiasm.  One day, hopefully a loooooooooong time from now when Tommy retires, Scal can take over.

He's awesome at it.  I'm always highly entertained by him.

I really enjoy listening to Scal, but I am left wondering if he is not angling for a return to coaching. Does anyone know if his contract as a commentator runs beyond one year?

wouldn't be much different than any other guy in that position.

i'm so so on Scal behind the mic. there's times where there's dead air and with him i'd expect a lot more "color" to his color commentary. maybe that will come with time.

he's certainly better than PJ carlesimo, who I don't even think he believes the garbage coming out of his mouth.

I'm actually not a big Scala guy, but after years of Donny Marshall I have nothing to complain about
