Some video of a semi-famous event just emerged recently, and I thought it'd be fun to share.  Willis Reed basically single-handedly fighting around half-a-dozen Lakers in the late 60s, and somehow it's consistently lopsided in his favor.  The league promptly smacked this down by issuing a $50 fine  :D.  Video and story:

It's worth noting, though, that Reed claims the league wanted to boot him from the NBA -- until they saw the tape and realized he didn't punch first.

Eh, that was pretty unusual even for then, which is why it's been a quasi-urban legend ever since.

I liked the little side note that some fans got into the mix on the court.  Yet another thing that would get taken MUCH more seriously these days.
