Idea: Wizards 8.5TPE and Future 1st for Marcus Thornton

We all know how the C's are backed up at G.

The Wizards just received a 8.5TPE from a S&T for Ariza to HOU.

The Wizards are a good team, obviously in win now mode with the PP signing, so they take on this contract to backup Beal off the bench with a good option at the 2. Also takes pressure off Andre Miller to score at his old age.

I think we could see this deal.

The exception will be for 8.5 about and Green's contract will be above that next year unfortunately.

We aren't as deep in the SG spot though. Marcus Thornton provides shooting off the bench, something we don't have AT ALL.

I think the idea would be to move Bass first and fore-most. Too many PFs in this team as it is.

A four-man rotation of Rondo-Bradley-Smart-Thornton is not a problem as far as "logjam" is concerned. In fact, it's good prudent depth (money spent on it aside).

I guess not, but they expect to make the playoffs so their picks aren't as valuable...
