I think they can get away with it if they can give up two firsts to get him. Is that possible? When would Minnesota receive those picks. If love won't resign in Boston or elsewhere than the flipper dipper doo, may just have to fold his hand and take two crappy firsts, Waiters, Thompson, and Anthony big shot Bennett. Of that happens omg. They won't need a draft pick for the next 10 years.
Irving
Wiggins
Lebron
Love
And me at center. Wouldn't matter.

Love was the best player imo in the olympics in 2012. I know its the olympics but just something to think about

Yes if you have a commitment from Love on an extension.

Also, I was thinking about a potential trade and it seems like Pekovic and Love would make a lot of sense for Cleveland and someone Minnesota might be interested in unloading his contract.

So here is the trade

Love, Pekovic, Martin

for

Varejao, Wiggins, Thompson, Bennett, and Waiters

Cavs post-trade would be Irving, Martin, James, Love, Pekovic as a starting 5.  They would have a very weak bench (though I think guys like Ray Allen would sign up for that bench), but I think that team would cakewalk into the NBA Finals and likely win the title.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

"Flip Saunders cries uncontrollably for no reason." That part is funny lol

but If CLE wants to instantly compete for a chip...They ABSOLUTELY have to give him up

They aren't giving up Irving...they want to replicate the Miami show with 3 all-stars and Irving is probably the main reason why LeBron would want to go back...not Wiggins

If they want a star trio of Irving/LeBron/Love

they absolutely have to trade Wiggins

I don't think Waiters + others will do it...if they refuse to part with Wiggins, then I guess the Celtics can always steal Love away with our own talents

Wiggins for Love or no deal says Minny

if no Wiggins what's more attractive

Waiters + picks + fillers

or

Sully (or KO) + (take your pick @ Green/Bass/Bradley) + 3 first round picks

Why would MIN give up Pek along with Love? Stupid trade on their part.

because Pek has a big contract, isn't exactly a picture of health, and you dump Martin's awful contract (on a team that won't be anywhere near the playoffs).

Plus you open up more time for Dieng.

The Cavs would offer Wig for Love if Lebron gave his permission.  It is really his call.
