Rumor: Melo likely to choose between Lakers and Knicks

I hope he picks L.A.--I would love to see the self-destruction that would ensue between him and Kobe.

Me too   That would be awesome.  Even if they ran out a lineup of Pau, Randle, Anthony, and Kobe, they still at least need a point guard who can guard guys like Westbrook, Parker, Paul, Curry, etc.  Ooh, new idea - after that 'team' is assembled, they should go out and sign Evan Turner and bring back Bynum for good measure   Their locker room would be a virtual cage match   What happens when Carmelo fails to play defense?  Of any kind.  Kobe would lose it   Those two can't play together, anyway.  They're both isolation one-on-one selfish players who don't make their teammates better.  They would have this going for them, however - unlike Wade and Lebron, Kobe and Melo are excellent shooters (from midrange, anyway).  Passing, though?  Man, that sounds like a lot of work!

It's weird.  This doesn't scare me but I really don't want it to happen.  I don't think Anthony catapults the lakers into contender status but the national media will push that angle.

Lakers with or without Melo, have 0% chance to come on top in the west. I feel like, Melo is Paul's (evil is to harsh) bad twin. They have/had about the same level of skillset, but Melo choose a different path, much darker than his twin Paul Pierce 
to clarify, Melo is egocentric, ball hog, bad teammate IMHO
