I think the Celtics, first of all, should go for a center. The four I can think of that are reasonable fits Greg Monroe, Andray Blatche, Ed Davis, and Jordan Hill. Of the four, I think the realistic possibility money and stats wise for the Celtics to get is either Jordan Hill or Andray Blatche. Both can score, and protect the rim. Greg Monroe would probably ask for too much money. Ed Davis is another possibility but I doubt he wants to come to Boston. And he may want more money as well.

Then, the Celtics should go for Parsons or Hayward (likely Parsons) for the SG or PF position that needs depth. The way i see that happening is via a sign and trade strategy. And if the celtics are unable to require either of those two, then many can disagree with me here, but I say take Kent Bazemore. He will come for cheap, he has glimpses of Lance Stephenson and he can score. He can give u production of 10-15 points in 20 minutes of a game. I know we are full at the guard position but I think we can get rid of Pressey and take Bazemore instead for better production.

Those are great moves, although I don't see the Celtics having any chance for Parsons so Bazemore would do. I don't know if the Celtics would want another guard but you never know. Bazemore is a solid shooter and he shows lots of promise. Top priority should be center though, so I'd say Andre Blatche if he is willing to come a little cheap, otherwise Jordan Hill is the top candidate there.

The Celtics should PASS on Hayward and Parsons. Thanks. Let's avoid the big mistake these two would be to invest in at the SF position.

Not interested in any of these four players.

* Blatche and J.Hill are not solutions at the C position. Bad defenders.
* Parsons is not needed because J.Green is here.
* Bazemore is not needed because Boston is already loaded with defensive combo guards.

Greg Monroe is interesting but he will command a max contract and would cost a lot of assets in a sign and trade. I think Ainge is better off staying patient and waiting for a better opportunity to present itself further down the road.

I would have interest in Parsons if we can move Green, but I wouldn't give up much for him . Maybe Bradley and filler .

Absent of options, I wouldn't mind Hill at all at short money, which is what I envision in him getting. I see no problem with getting better balance on the roster with him here.

But I'm not salivating over it, but we'll see.

I don't think Jordan Hill balances anything. Just Kris Humphries 2.0.

We've done that already. It didn't work.

We dont need them. Well, maybe Jordan Hill as he can defend, but let's find some better options first.

BTW, isn't Jordan Hill a PF playing at C?

Jeff Green is our Chandler Parsons, possibly a better defender than him. And after we overpaid for Avery Bradley, we don't need Bazemore (although it wont hurt if we bring him for the minimum).

Blatche is definitely not needed. Let KO and Sully play for that scoring big spot. We need a defender of the rim. Gortat and Asik is gone, we need to look for other names. We can include Hill here, but he should not be the first choice. Okafor is still available, Spencer Hawes, of course my binkie JaSIGN Smith.

Ya I can see where you all are coming from. Tbh I don't see Parsons or Hayward coming, nor do I see Blatche. Hill and Bazemore are two cheap players I see the celtics possibly signing if they can't find or sign a big name free agent. Center is top priority though and I would say other than the four I stated, they could try either Jason Smith or Spencer Hawes. And yes Jordan hill is a PF who voluntarily plays C. I didn't realize that until now lol. I just read the blog about him that was posted a few days ago on this site.
