You are looking at a big chunk of clay.  the artist hasn't even begun to sculpt. wait until the piece of art is finished before passing judgment.
This team, on opening night,  will look nothing like it does now.  I'm sure Danny will address all the issues so take a deep breath and enjoy the ride.
It took a few of you one pick before you started that 'tank talk" again, it ain't gonna happen!!!

another positive thread...thank you

you know how brutal it was reading threads about "RONDO IS GONE"

probably every other comment is "Rondo is gone, Smart is going to Sac for the #8 pick, Danny you liar, Smart sucks, Where's the fireworks?"

that on top of the lag on Celticsblog during draft time was also annoying!

btw can a moderator tell me where Celticsblog is hosted?

Thank you sir!!.  Seems like to all the hypebeast if we didn't turn elite after the draft, this year is officially going to be a bust. Just because all these BS reporters haven't made up stories about C's  signing anyone else other then Melo or Love, doesn't mean we ain't out making moves. What happens if we are working on deals that haven't been leaked yet ? What if smart truly is the next D.Wade? Clearly Denver thought Darko was better at the time right? When you rish things, you get a rushed quality finish. For god sakes, the summer league didn't even start and you guys got on your seatbelts for the tank. These the same people who soon going to b like  "I KNEW D.A. had this up his sleeve" IF you love your team and trust DA then just shut up and wait!

We always get an insane amount of volume during the draft and trading deadline and big Celtics news when it arises.  The site definitely slows down.  I know last night it got real crazy right around the Smart pick.

I had trouble maintaining the draft board because of it.

Just one of those things that happens but not a regular occurence.  It speaks to Celticsblog and people turning to it during big Celtics related which is awesome.

Hope you are right.

But how can he do this?  What rim protector is available to us?  Sanders?  Maybe.  McGee?  Doubtful.  Asik is gone.  I just don't think anyone else is available.

Milwaukee wants to dump Sanders, reportedly, but is having a tough time given his issues.  I would hope Danny would give it the ol' Ricky Davis try, and trade for him. Especially if he wants us to improve enough this season to get Rondo interested in staying.

What you are not taking into consideration is that just because there was a draft and players were designated to certain teams and other players were moved doesn't mean they can't be moved again. in the blink of an eye the C'S could acquire Embiid from Philly or Jabari Parker from the Bucks.  for all we know Boston might have drafted Smart and Young at the request of another team to announce a three way deal down the road a little bit.
Don't give up on Danny, I think this is just the calm before the storm!!!!

Yup. The rebuilding phase of the offseason isn't even 24 hours old. The Celtics are just getting started.

The Celtics made 2 nice picks. We need a big guard who can shoot. And we need a talent upgrade in general. Young and Smart bring those respectively.

Getting a center is going to be tough. Embiid was the only answer in the draft. And he was gone with the 3rd pick. Now it's time to explore trades and free agency in July.

I can't wait for part 2 of the off season.

(And to be honest i dont think that rim protector we want is coming until 2015. )

Though I think it's a bit much to compare accumulating 15 basketball players to creating art, I agree with the sentiment.

It's too early to tell. Even if we want to compete in the next two years, the NBA is still LeBron's league for a bit longer, it is better to accumulate young talent.

Stop telling everyone what to do, perhaps? :P
