Ainge saying we shouldn't rush rebuilding.

Ainge saying there are no franchise players in this draft.

Boston reporters saying Ainge is most likely to trade down.

Translation:  We aren't getting Love, we aren't getting a top pick, Embiid is probably getting snatched up by Philly... and we are probably standing pat or moving down a few spots to get someone like Gordon (who many project 10th)

I don't think Gordon is going 10th.  He may not even last to 6th.

well if we are tanking again can we do it right this time??  We SHOULD have gotten a top 3 pick. we could have made that happen.  We chose not to do so.  Don't tell me it could not be done. Would it look obvious? maybe......maybe not........

Reading between the lines, I think DA tried his best to land Love and make a big "win now" move.

Unfortunately, right now our "assets" look more like liabilities.

Also, with the Celts having drafted 2 different guards, I've got a suspicion Rondo is gone.

Not exactly the summer I was looking forward to.

I have no problem with the guys they got,  I just don't understand what the plan is.   Right now it looks like he's trying to just collect assets rather put together a winning basketball team.   It's a basketball purgatory.  If we're going to go young,   do it.  Trade Rondo for what you can get and get rid of Green.   At least this team will start to grow a personality rather than this patchwork group of vagabonds.   Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing DA act's like people aren't paying to watch this garbage.

It's also possible Danny is trying to have it both ways.

In other words, if he can't get an all-star and because the Celts didn't end up getting a top 3 pick this year, maybe he's trying to put together a competitive team while also keep an eye opening for the future.
