I hadn't really considered this until recently because I was too fixated on Kevin Love, but there seem to be tons of teams interested in dumping salary to get in on the free agent frenzy. We can facilitate that, to the tune of 10+ mil, using the trade exception (which expires in a few days, I believe).

Here are a few potential deals (all in exchange for future protected 2nd rounder):

Bulls: Dunleavy, Snell and rights to Mirotic (or a pick)
Clippers: Dudley, Barnes, Bullock and first rounder
Rockets: Lin or Asik (would probably have to give up a first rounder for Asik)
Heat: Haslem, Cole and first rounder

You get the idea. There are lots of other possibilities.

The benefit for other teams, in addition to the cap space, is the transfer of the trade exception, which they can then use to sign an additional free agent. Does anyone know if it become immediately available?
