This means they will go after rondo or another big name FA.

I dont think they will give up 8th and mclemore for rondo but rather give us 8th and eat wallace contract.

Or 8th, mclemore for rondo ,17th and take on wallace
contract

They can't take Wallace's contract effectively.  They would need to send us back over $18 million in expirings for that to be possible, and they don't really have that, short of sending about 7 players here, which, no thanks.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I took this as Gay not leaving a huge chunk of money on the table. His next contract surely won't be a max one.

It may mean that Sac doesn't have any other option other than to start competing. In that case, they may go hard after Rondo hoping that Danny will bite, but it doesn't mean we are going to give him up, especially along with the #17.

Terry, williams, mclemore, outlaw would do the trick. Then waive or buyout terry

You said we weren't getting McLemore.  We're not giving up 17 to take on a bunch of garbage, guaranteed.

But heck, this is stupid.  I'd bet you a ton of money that Sacramento doesn't get Rondo, and it's not because Rondo nixes it.
