In addition to the Bulls, Anthony would consider signing with the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks if he tested free agency, sources say.

Boston not on his map.

Sorry but Melo and Rondo aren't going to win a championship on this team without Love or some other major pieces. Melo has no reason to leave the Knicks other than to win a championship. If he wants to be on a rebuilding team he will just stay in New York.

As planned, Carmelo Anthony will file notice with Knicks on Monday that he's opted-out of 2014-'15 season on contract, source tells Yahoo.

If Ainge gets Love and Asik, I'd bet Melo would seriously consider Boston.

Which is my point, IF. At this point he can't take us seriously, you don't waste your time on ifs and maybes. He's already dealt with that in New York and he's not going to leave money on the table for a maybe.

Isola from the NY Daily News Tweets:

"A person close to Carmelo Anthony confirms that Melo, as expected, will inform Knicks on Monday that he's opting out. "One hundred percent."

No big surprise, but we'll see if we get involved in faciliataing HOU's pitch for him by taking Asik off their hands.
