First vote, voted for the second option. I care more about watching the Celtics play great basketball than whether or not they win a title.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

in terms of percentage - 1 championship now = 100%

chance at multiple championships but not guaranteed could mean at least 2 chips but could also mean 0 chips.

I'm going with 1 championship NOW

You take the 1 title.

Then let the players, coaches and GMs do their job and work to win more.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Here's a good question that will make you really think about the original question.....

Would you give up the 2008 championship if it meant that KG didn't injure his knee in 2009?

I think if KG stays healthy we win 2009 and 2010. We are probably a good shot vs the Heat in 2011 (but Rondo goes down) and we are better against the Heat in 2012.

I chose multiple shots, assuming that if we win one, we only win one. Period....With no chance to win any others.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I like that scenario. and I actually agree if KG were healthy we win more rings. but I would not trade that 1 for only a chance at more.
