Some had us picking him 17, not that I am too disappointed.

This was a smart move by him, draft express has him going #7 in 2015. He got his name out there this year.

Fail. He's very athletic and mobile for a 7 footer, he can shoot, he can dribble, and he he has a top notch motor. Which is why he'll be a top 10 pick next year, and you'll still be making snarky dismissive remarks about top talents without any idea of what you're snarking about.

'Merica.

6.9 PPG and 2.8 RPG in this league is not impressive.   You think if he was athletic and mobile he would do a little bit better.   What are you his brother or agent?

he can shoot,

.47 FG  .30 3PG   .63 FT  again not as impressive as your hyberbole

he has a top notch motor.

.57 SPG and .89 BPG  I would hate to see a bad motor.

dismissive remarks about top talents

There are guys picked every year that have no business in the NBA.

Go ahead and post away I don't think I will reply to any future posts in this thread and just stick to the stats as my argument.

And, even though I obviously qualify, I have yet to receive even a single phone call.  :-\

You have to put your name in.

You surely meant to say 'Murica -- why don't you stick to stuff you have a clue about :P

He may end up being the top pick overall, and it's still not going to mean squat. Andrea Bargnani and Michael Olowokandi were, too.

I find it odd that someone always has disrespectful comments towards someone's opinion about certain players and tons of criticisms get posted. Everyone is entitled to their opinion,  be respectful in the process.  I got reported before because I asked where all the Jeff green haters were before because he was playing consistently good and I just wanted to see if the same people still felt the same about him. YET I continously see people talking down to people.

An 18 year old 7 footer whose stock climbed to becoming a borderline lottery projection? Because GMs were scouting him a lot and were giving him  a guaranty?  He was quite known. He only pulled out because he felt he wasn't ready, and would benefit from another season.  That shows maturity if you ask me.  Will be interesting to see how he pans out. I feel he will be a real player in the NBA someday, and am quite disappointed he dropped out.  Even if you did not want the Celtics to take him, his drop out diminishes the value of our 17th pick, since he was moving up higher than that in the draft.

I don't think it changes the way celtics are going to draft now.  That pick is most likely going to be traded anyway.  I'm really liking Shabazz though and wouldn't mind if we grabbed him.

Very interesting. It probably works 98% of the time, but I still prefer using protection. To each is his own, Kristaps just likes to live dangerously.
