Johnson had a good game tonight, but man I hate his style. He holds the ball way too long and doesn't do a very good job finding open man when getting double teamed. I hope Pierce comes back to Celtics next season and retires gracefully.

Melo and Brandon Jennings may have something to say about that

Isolation is how the nets play. Pierce had a few. Livingston had a couple. The players go with what Kidd says. When have you seen them run a fluid offense this year? Most if the time it's ISO drive and kick or ISO and shoot. Deron pretty much plays SG now and Livingston is nice as a backup but he's not quarterbacking any elite offense at this point in his career.

ISO-Joe at his best.

34 points on 15-23 shooting?

Yeah that's awful.

3-6 from three and 7 boards. He's the only reason the game was close.

The only thing joe has been guilty of is being forced to be the number one guy. He can't be that. He needs to be the sidekick but sadly d will got the $$$ and became the NBAs version of Albert Haynesworth.

Never said he had an awful game. Never said he had an awful series. Never said he was an awful player even.

The OP stated that Johnson holds the ball far too long, and doesn't find the guy quick enough when double teamed...hence...ISO-Joe at his best in those situations.

Edit: Also, isn't this the same criticism Jeff Green gets by the board? How come its acceptable for Johnson to fail at being a number one option when we all know he's not but it's completely frowned upon for Jeff Green even though his season was above average even if inconsistent?

I get your question was tongue in cheek, but Tom Haberstoh of ESPN handed out some awards at the end of the regular season.

Biggest Black Hole

Wanna know why Thompson has the highest points per touch in the league? As soon as he gets the ball, the shot's going up. Thompson passed the ball just 1.2 times for every shot he took, which is the lowest rate in the NBA among players who log 20 minutes or more per game.

Biggest Ball-Hog

This isn't a surprise to Per Diem regulars. Back in late November, I identified Westbrook as the league's biggest ball hog, and he hasn't relinquish his throne. After crunching Spor**** data, I found that Westbrook holds the ball for a league-high 7.9 seconds between passes on average. That may not sit well with Durant devotees, but at least Westbrook gets results.

Gotta admit, when I saw the thread title, my 1st response was, "Westbrook."

Which Thompson is that? Tristan, I assume?

It is in fact Klay Thompson. It's not surprising I guess, considering he also lead the league in catch and shoot points.

Also, just because he often is criticized for it, the most inconsistent scorer was not Jeff Green. It was Steph Curry.
