With the 6th pick in play, would you cash in our other current assets (say, Rondo and another pick) to move up in this draft (maybe a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks). We end up with a rebuild core of Wiggins/Parker at #2, Smart at #6 and Sully.

>>Just a hypothetical. I cite Rondo because he's the most valuable thing we have, other than the 6th pick. I dunno if any of the teams would want to trade their pick for Rondo, or if Rondo would agree to an extension on one of those teams, but if any team was cashing in ala 07, it might happen. <<

I don't believe that there are any trade up options.

I don't see anyone ahead of us making a deal.  Maybe Utah but that's just to move up one spot but it'd cost us more than it should to move up just that spot.  6th is as high as we're going to get.  most likely going out in a trade anyways

#6 + future pick for #4 and I see this happening. Utah won't take Smart and he won't go top 3, so Orlando gets their point guard, we get our center. Cleveland and Milwaukee get their new franchise wings, Philly gets their dream athletic backcourt (MCW + Exum), Utah gets their Hayward insurance / defensive stopper.

1 - Wiggins (CLE)
2 - Parker (MIL)
3 - Exum (PHI)
4 - Embiid (BOS)
5 - Gordon (UTH)
6 - Smart (ORL)

I would absolutely trade Rondo and the 6th plus maybe the 17th to move up to 1.

I'm very thankful you're not the GM
