I was just thinking a straight up trade bass expiring for Thomas Robinson an Meyers Leonard? Robinson still has the potential he was drafted for and has been playing decent for Portland. He can play some center in a pinch and Leonard would give us a body at least at center. Plus sends bass to a contender which it like. You guys think both teams would say yes? Sullinger Olynk and Robinson complement each other well.

bass is almost the same as thomas robinson, and having meyers leonard is like having hasheem thabeet of OKC,

if you want PF/C

kris middleton and larry sanders

greg monroe and charlie villuaneva

timofey mozgov and anthony randolph

brendan haywood and kemba walker

jason maxiel and jameer nelson

anytime ^_^ i would not hesitate adding a 1st round pick

I have said for a while that Bass is a nice fit for Portland. Would need to find 3rd team for Robinson, he wouldn't get the minutes he needs to develop playing behind sully and KO. He is like KO and Sully is not big enough to be anything more then a stop gap few minute a game center

If this trade made sense to both teams, it would have already been done.  All players are signed through next year.  Bass has been available all season.  The salaries have worked all year.  I'm guessing the price is too high for one team.

That seems like an unbalanced trade.  Robinson and Leonard are two young players who Portland has control of through 2015-2016, after which they would be restricted free agents.  The Trail Blazers should definitely be asking for a first-round pick as part of this deal to even consider it.

robinson and leonard are pretty much non-factors.  all for moving Bass but would like to move him for either a late 1st (if possible) or a decent vet at a position other than PF or PG.

Yeah. And as LC points out, both Leonard and Robinson are on rookie contracts, meaning they are relatively cost-controlled.

I thought Bass would have been a great addition to the Blazer frontcourt rotation (in fact, I felt sure a deal was going to happen before the deadline, but I was obviously wrong on that one).

He still could be, on Draft Night. I don't think both Leonard and TRob will be part of such a deal, though. Perhaps one of the two plus short-term filler contracts (some combo of Claver, Barton, Crabbe) to make the numbers work.

I love Robinson. I wish that we'd gotten him when the getting was good. The window is closed.

Portland might ask for more than just Brandon Bass to get Thomas Robinson and Meyers Leonard, and I wouldn't be comfortable giving up a lot for two guys who are not that good and might not become better than they are.

Timofey Mozgov and Anthony Randolph for Bass would work for me, straight up. Mozgov and Randolph are long-time favorites, and Bass would be playing for a good team with a chance to earn a big contract.

Add a couple of first round rookies, and you have a 2015 "fireworks" season in the making.

Why would Denver give up Mozgov for Bass? Mozgov is the better player and plays a more valuable position on top of that.

Bass isn't worth much in the trade market. He is not worth a first round pick, or 2 young prospects, etc. if he was worth those things, he would have been traded already.

Even in a trade of Bass for just Zaza, the Celtic's probably have to give up something else. Maybe Bass plus a future second round pick gets it done.

Robinson is another PF.  We don't need that.  Now Leonard on the other hand is a Center with potential who came out of college early and really hasn't earned or gotten the minutes to develop.  I could see some sort of trade involving him...

said this before having leonard is like having thabeet or fab melo on your team i would not waste my pick on him, if kg and doc was still on this team i'd take him, fab was here but nothing was really special on fab melo no matter what

gobert might turn out to be desagana diop but these kind of players to me has potential, add len and potter
