They've got the right defensive backbone/complements to put around him. He'd get to be Option #1 on offense, even with Rose there, I think.

I wonder about that. So far in the Rox-Blazers series, we've yet to see both Harden and Howard have a good game at the same time. Adding another high-usage player doesn't seem like it'd necessarily mean a good thing for them. There's only one ball to go around.

On the flip side, having that third alpha-option for those nights when Harden and/or Howard don't have it might mean some more wins.
