Hi Guys,

I'm obviously new here and wanted a bit of advice.

I'm travelling from the UK in early March to see the Suns @ Celtics game. It will be the first time I've had a chance to visit Boston or see the Celtics live.

Couple of pieces of advice:

What is the best bar to go to before the game? The Fours seems to be popular. Is that the best bet? I'd ideally like to get some food etc before the game but from stuff I've read it seems like it will be really busy.

In terms of getting to the stadium early, the site says 1hr before, is that about right? I'd like to get there early to take some photos etc as it might be the only chance I get, certainly for quite some time at least.

Who would I speak to about getting a message read out/shown at the game?

Anything else you guys would suggest that would be decent tips for the day?

Thanks for any help or advice you might offer.

Halftime Pizza is right across from the Garden & has great food and beers! Not sure about bars mostly because I'm not 21 yet but if You're just looking for food I recommend it! Enjoy the Garden man, it's an awesome atmosphere! You can't help feel embraced when you walk in.

My personal go to is the Greatest Bar.  It's four floors and they do a ton of highlight/history stuff to get ya pumped up for the game.  Foods pretty good too.

That sounds about right.  You could also look into scoring some Legends passes.  Although, I'm not sure if they sell them seperately. They get you in the arena 2 hours early and you can walk right down to the court to watch warmups.  Also, the Legends bar is a decent place to grab a bit...lil pricy though.

I agree that "The Greatest Bar" is a good place to go. I went two years ago to Boston for my first time and liked that place.

Best of luck to you.  I'll always remember my 1 and only was to the old garden in Larry/Kevin/Chief's last year.  Walked on the parquet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......and sat halfway behind a steel I beam.

I know I am late to the party here, but the two places I usually eat at before a game are Four's and the Sports Grille Boston.

There's also a Qdoba (mexican food) across from the Garden, if you're not looking to spend as much cash.

For an after-game hangout, like others have said, I like the Greatest Sports Bar.
