Miles Plumlee looking like one of the steals of the 2012 draft

It's quite surprising actually.  He had a pretty mediocre time in college. Exceptional athlete for his size, but could never put it together

And suddenly in his 2nd year it's looking like he has.

He is not only playing well against no name centers but also against some decent ones like Robin Lopez, Davis etc.

Sullinger and Plumlee would of been an exceptional draft for Danny.

Bottom line is, about 15 teams missed a chance on this guy

I'm interested to see how Mason Plumlee turns out.  If he's anything like his brother that could be a significant miss for Danny.

He's been very productive in very limited minutes so far this year.

Marshall is supposed to be the biggest, but it looks like he doesnt have the athleticism his older brothers have.

This is all in hindsight though. Prior to the season, no one would know that Plumlee could become this sort of player given a consistent role. IND had playoff aspirations coming into the year and there was no way they were ready to try out Plumlee when a proven veteran with playoff experience like Scola was available.

Mason has a long ways to go. I was at the pacers/nets game tonight and he had 4 fouls in the 2nd, looked totally lost on defense and got bested against any big that went against him. Pacers fans were laughing at him all over and cheering for him to re enter the game. He did have a couple good blocks though and he can jump out of the building and to his credit he's just. a rookie.

Btw the terry-KG oop was sick and KG had an awesome block but I can't remember against who. KG looked good. Now pierce, that's another discussion.

Well bird and the pacers still drafted him earlier than expected. Scola has been nothing short of a perfect bench pickup for the pacers also

Actually, Bird didn't miss it: Phoenix wanted Plumlee.  They weren't doing the deal without getting him back.  The Pacers wanted to hold on to Plumlee and would've done so if they could have.

It was really a win-win trade for both sides: Scola's been an integral part of the Pacers rotation and Plumlee and Green have been key in the Suns' success.

Who's to say he'd be playing this well for Indiana though?

Pacers don't play the sort of open and fast offense that has allowed him to be passable on that end.
