i read an article yesterday that has vonleh ahead of randle, purely due to wingspan.  i've mostly shied away from measurables when it comes to the nba.  i look at charles barkley and how he dominated as a 6'6" power forward.  i beleive its more about heart, desire, and work ethic.  i take randle ahead of vonleh!

What you don't know also is that Barkley had like a 7'2 wingspan and ridiculous hops for a widebody

As we have seen with Olynyk inability to grab some rebounds, alter shots, Wingspan matters. But only when most other things are equal

Randle to me is still ahead of Vonleh. Just more active downlow, stronger and more agressive player. Vonleh can try to contain Randle but might eventually get into foul trouble

Agree 100%. I'd even go so far as to say that the bigger differential the better the advantage when it comes to height/wingspan.
"Because there are no fours." -- Antoine Walker when asked why he shoots so many threes.

"Stars. The Eskimos use them to find their way home. I use them to wish for a girlfriend."
