Wooow, After watching all the video tributes, press conferences and media attention I had to shed a tear or two. A couple of fantastic tributes for two of the greatest celtics to ever play the game.
The 14 minutes press conference was one to remember for ever. I loved it how honest, emotional and sincere both players answered the questions, giving us an extra inside into the relations between Boston, Pierce, Garnett and other players involved.

Please stop all trade rumors, whines about the future for one day and just be grateful to be a fan of the greatest organization in sports, to be celtic and even if this rebuild takes 10 or 20 years again I will be bleeding green forever.

Garnett & Pierce, thanks for everything!

TP for that. Completely agree.

My favorite quote from last night was KG (not word for word I'm at work and can't look it up) "As long as we're playing basketball, we'll bleed green. Even 6 ft under, we bleed green."

Also,

"This town gets it" - Brad Stevens

I started tearing when KG's tribute got on, then Pierce's tribute came and I cried like a baby...my roommate thought I was crazy lol

Gotta love the mini trash talk KG did to Rondo and Rondo smirking...KG, PP and Rondo will always be brothers and the Celtics is a brotherhood.

I am not ashamed to admit that I cried.

Seriously, though, how classy are the Celtics as an organization? Is there any sports organization more loyal and respectful of their own? I know I (and everyone here) is biased towards our beloved Cs and we are far from objective, but its not like we are the only ones that think so; it is all over ESPN and NBA TV today, various anchors/commenters opining about how classy the Cs are.

The Lakers are loyal to Kobe (I know, I know, I despise Kobe and the Lakers, but you have to admit they are loyal), but have never (to my knowledge) showed the same level of respect to anyone else (even Shaq). The Spurs are loyal to Pop and the Big 3, but I've never heard of them giving two craps about any of their other players. The Cs even gave Big Baby and Nate Robinson video tributes!

Love all your responses :) yea it's so classy, that's why I'm so proud to support the Boston Celtics.
Also Wojnarovski wrote this article on yahoo. If I respect one writer/reporter it's wojnarovski, talking about one of the greatest days in sports.

I'll watch the post game interview after work but I was at the game last night and it was unreal. The applause just didn't stop and everyone cheered when KG/Pierce got the ball or made a shot. Much respect.

As sad as it was it was probably the best game I've been to, just going on emotions.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
