that he is serious about his assists, so how soon do they hear from him that if he gives them the ball in a good position they are expected to shoot the ball and not try an extra fancy pass.

I watched the game tonight and it seemed the Rondo's passing was infectious and the teammates wanted to make an extra pass off his passes.

Well I don't think the Captain is going to like that... he revels in his assists and extra passes by teammates is going to cut into that.

I seen some good extra passes, but at times they was over passing when they open. I don't think he'd mind off the good passes, but the one's where they're open may be a problem and that's something that the coach probably addresses too. They've done that some this season with passing too much.

thing is good passing can be infectious with one player trying to outdo the other. At some point the players need to understand their roles, and the fact that basketball is still about putting the ball in the basket and stopping your opponents from doing the same.

He probably felt right at home. Doc's teams frequently over-passed the ball.

Good passes end up as scores.  Everyone should like that.

Rarely do NBA teams over pass, the shot clock is a factor and there always is a chucker on the team. I love good passing teams and would want to condone that. I do agree that shooters need to take open shots. Hopefully KO will continue to do that.

He talked about it frequently. You could see it on a regular basis.

rondo dribbles the ball to further the shot clock so teammates are forced to shoot.

I don't understand this thread

Rondo is an absolute competitive machine, I don't think he's worried about players making extra passes
