While the Celtics are short-handed at guard until Rondo comes back, they can cover for that in the short term by playing Green at the 2.

The Celtics now have two roster spots open and room under the luxury tax to sign a few minimum salary guys.  If those spots are still there after the trade deadline, then I expect Ainge to try to fill those spots with guys signed for the rest of the season (plus two unguaranteed seasons).

Do you think Ainge will audition players with ten-day contracts?  Are there players in Maine that you like?  Training camp invitees Kam Taylor, Chris Babb, and Damen Bell-Holter all signed with the Red Claws (DeShawn Sims went to Israel).  Is there anyone in China worth bringing in as roster filler?

was about to make this post so ill just add it here

With first the Lee trade, then Bogan being excused, and now the Crawford/Brooks deal the Cs have 4 guards.

Rondo, AB,Bayless and Pressey. This groups leads me to think that DA will look to the D-league for an additional SG.

Possibilities,

I like Jackson but he wont fit the rotation, and the thunder own his rights.

guys DA could look at

Manny Harris, http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Manny-Harris-5047/

K.C. Rivers, http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/K.C.-Rivers-5111/

This could be a great opportunity to pull a prospect out of thin air much like the spurs have done in the past. Jones in particulate seems to have the makings of a 3 and D wing.

Does anyone think T-Will or Chris Babb will make a return?

How? Who else could they do better than Babb who was our 3rd best player in pre-season, and is young, can back up SF, plus has great chemistry with every one else?

I would like T-Will to come back simply cause of his versatility. Hound him all you want for his bad decisions in life, but realistically he can provide great spark off the bench as a point forward.

Based on Babb's Dleague stats the Cs can do better. He is not shooting well. Compare him to K.C Rivers who i posted the link for above.

He is averaging 23.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game for Fuijian Quanzhou in China.  He is seventh in assists in the CBA behind guys like Dominique Jones and Sebastian Telfair and ahead of Lester Hudson.  He is 20th in the league in scoring, with those guys ahead of him.  His team is seventh out of 18.

well, harris is averaging 30 points, 6 rebounds, and just over 3 assists a game in the dleague this year. he is 6'5" and rated the #1 prospect in the dleague.

but then, didnt brooks average something like 28 points a game there?

so, for 10 days, why not give harris a try and see?
